Add Platform-Specific Info to Sale Alerts and Wishlists

?

I’ve been thinking about how sale alerts work when tracking games across multiple platforms, and I think there’s room to make it clearer and more customisable.

Right now, when I get an email or notification about a game going on sale, it doesn’t always say which platform the discount is for. This gets tricky if you’re following the same game on both Switch and PS5. For example, there are some titles I only want to pick up on Switch because they suit handheld play, while others I’d rather get on PS5 for performance. A few times I’ve seen an alert, assumed it was for the version I wanted, and then realised it was discounted on the other platform instead.

A couple of ideas that could improve this:
• Add the platform name directly into sale notifications/emails so you instantly know whether it’s the Switch or PS5 version on sale.
• Allow wishlist alerts to be configured by platform, so you can choose how you’re notified depending on which system you actually want to buy for.
• Even better, let us split the same title by platform in our wishlists, so we can manage alerts separately and avoid mix-ups.

I think this would make a big difference for anyone tracking games across multiple consoles, especially when you care about playing certain titles on one platform over another.

After you add a game to your wishlist you can edit which platforms you want an alert for. For you, you could unselect PS5 for games you want to buy on Switch and vice versa for games you want on PS5 instead.

As for your other suggestions, I think they’re great! I am going to merge this with an already open suggestion.
