Among all the games and categories I’ve viewed since I started using this site, I have found several times that I wanted to sort through all games that are categorized as visual novels or point-and-click games, but those two categories are absent in the list. I think there are lots of games that would fit those categories and many of them could probably be auto-sorted based on the game descriptions here on the site, so I hope this feature could be implemented.

Someone left a quite rude reply but I see the comment has since been removed.
It mentioned that this site uses the same categories that the official eshop does, so a new category would mean lots of extra work. I didn’t know about that connection, but I would be happy to help in adding extra tags to games, if such a feature would be added.
No need to be rude in the comments. If a feature can’t be done or is a waste of programmer time, it’s okay. We add our ideas, we never demand that someone makes them a reality. The site is already a really good help as it is.

Member of Team Deku here. We love all these suggestions and read through every one. Nothing about these is a waste of our time, and almost none of these are impossible (we try to chime in when that’s the case, but it’s quite rare). For instance, this one seems doable, but we haven’t figured out a way that feels right yet so we haven’t said much.
Thanks for the ideas and keep `em coming!

I support this idea. I bought a game called OXENFREE that got some critical acclaim, but it’s not really a game, it’s a visual story. Identifying these kinds of games would help folks find them, and help folks like me avoid them.
